2023 Boston Marathon
Monday April 17th, 2023
Apply to join Team LCF and run the 2023 Boston Marathon!
There will be a $100 non refundable team fee if accepted onto the team.
2023 fundraising commitments:
- Charity Runner - $8,500.00 - SOLD OUT
- Registered Runner (providing your own bib) - $3,000
All minimums must be met by April 13th, 2023.

Past Accomplishments
Funded the ongoing meta-analysis of all fire service related research being conducted by the Center for Fire, Rescue, and EMS Health Research.
Provided funding to the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts for the Firefighter Relief Fund, used exclusively to support sick and injured firefighters and their families.
Filed final patent for fire hose with the hope that it protects the components as LCF’s fire hose committee with expert advice continues to refine both the liner and jacket.
Ongoing funding for cancer prevention training across the country through the Firefighter Cancer Support Network.
Donated $ 41,000 in honor of Michael Kennedy, fallen Boston Firefighters 41’st Birthday Boston Marathon October 11, 2021 to aid the newly established BFD Local 718 Firefighter and Family Cancer Foundation, dedicated to the peer support of Boston Firefighters as they navigate through diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Funded DetecTogether creation of Firefighter specific Cancer Awareness, Detection and Self Advocating education program now taught across the commonwealth.
Provided the initial funding for firefighter PTS treatment extension facility.
